N Scale Brass Imports Model Trains
N scale model trains are one of the most popular model scales for trains in the world. Although small in size, these trains still feature realistic finish and controls are the same compared to larger model scales. The sizes of model scale differ as it could be as small as 1:160 for US models or as large as 1:480 for UK model scale trains. Even with the disparity of sizes, the N scale model trains could run in nine millimeter tracks (the name N refers to Nine millimeters tracks). The N scale was formally introduced to the public in 1962. However, earlier models do exist as early as 1927.
N scale model trains are best rendered in brass imports. Brass can withstand changing and extreme weather conditions and its finish will need little to no additional detailing. Although N scale is preferred for indoor display, N scale models made of brass could withstand outdoor display with changing weather conditions. Although they would usually come as a little bit more expensive, brass N scale model trains are built to last for a very long time. It’s a great investment for any hobbyist who is looking to build a working collection of N scale model trains.
